So what happened next? Mr A gets in touch the next day… Giddy giddy giddy!!! I’m feeling composed right now so I stay cool…. During the day, he sent a number of texts and sounded really anxious and keen.. So what do I do? I simply played along, matching his very reaction step by step… Periodically he will send a text and periodically, I will send one back. At this point I’m thinking that the old plan is really working i.e play cool, play uninterested, let him chase, mind you it took about a week, if not more, before I agreed to the first date. But then, here comes ‘trouble’ again, which if I’m being honest, started the Journey model! I call it the super EUREKA moment 
Let me walk you through the whole first date as looking back, there were a whole lot of red flags, I mean, every single step was totally off, but I simply ignored it!! Oh dear!!
Well here are the tell tale signs….
Tell tale sign 1: He didn’t book the restaurant that we both agreed to go to. Now I spent my precious 30mins or so discussing restaurant choices with this guy. My usual style is to let the guy always always choose the restaurant! But apparently these days, the girl gets involved too.. So I decided to test that theory and well, look at where it ended me!! He didn’t book it!! Came up with some silly excuse that he couldn’t get a table in the end!! But you know, I ignored that red sign and thought to myself that maybe it’s time I allowed things to flow more easily in my life!! But then when I did go with the flow, we ended up in a very very nice, chilled out restaurant and had a great laugh!! It was fun BUT…
Tell tale sign 2: He was late in coming to the date and blamed it on trains!!! I thought, …well, let it go and enjoy this hunk of a guy!! 
and the date went on till about midnight!!
I left feeling super duper confident that he’s really into me!! Duh duh duh!! So super wrong!! This is silly!! It’s only Date 1!!! What do I do next? texted him when I got home, he texted immediately back! Then he texted again, and called…… And he gets me to stay about 45mins two days later!! My whole day is spent thinking about him.. oh dear!!! Seriously?!! So I decided to pull the brakes… Get the Journey model into gear!! After all, what do I know about this guy?!!! It’s time to set the tune for what happens next!!!
